Gone are the days when Sunday mornings were so peaceful that the only sounds to break the silence were the songs of skylarks and the distant peals of church bells.
St Swithins, Holmesfield is one of the churches visible from Blacka. Others include Chesterfield, St Mary and All Saints, Christ Church Dore and of course Lincoln Cathedral 43 miles away on a clear day.
