How can two of them look so different? They're hinds of a similar age but quite different colouring. This is a time of year when appearances change especially with the males. But not so much with hinds.
This could be another result of the practice of rolling in mud observed before. Either that or a case of overdosing on fake tanning products?
Meanwhile the males are at the other end of the site quietly transforming their appearances with their new velvets - while looking suspiciously at anyone who disturbs their peace.
