Carry on Cows but Kill the Deer

No subsidy payments from DEFRA for deer,  so shoot them. Cows, however .....

There are no plans to remove cattle on finding that deer numbers have increased. That would have been one way of managing their grazing plan and some suggestions had been made that this would happen. But those who know the local conservation industry never really believed they would take that option. No, they are addicted to farm management and cows and sheep must be everywhere possible. While the wild and beautiful deer must be controlled with the gun. That will meet the approval  of local farmers some of whom have already killed stags; it's more fun for them than killing hinds.
